1. "How do I know you actually came?"

The right answer is photo proof, every visit. We send a gate photo after each yard, which confirms the visit happened and that the gate latched behind us. If a company's answer is "you'll just notice," keep shopping.

2. "Do you sanitize tools between yards?"

This is the big one most homeowners never ask. Parvo, giardia, and hookworms travel on boots and scoops. Kennel-grade disinfectant between every yard is the standard we run. Anything less and yesterday's client's problem becomes yours.

3. "What happens when it rains?"

Houston asks this question about 90 times a year. You want a stated policy: we scoop in light rain, and if a visit is unsafe we double up next time at no charge. "We'll see" means missed weeks in June.

4. "Is there a contract?"

There shouldn't be. Good scooping companies keep clients with reliability, not paperwork. Month to month, pause for vacations, cancel with a text.

5. "Where does the waste go?"

Hauled away and properly disposed of, not knotted in a grocery bag in your own trash bin (unless you prefer that; some folks do). Ask, because the lazy version is common.

6. "Are you insured?"

Gates, pools, dogs, and strangers are a liability cocktail. Any professional outfit carries insurance and will happily say so.

7. "Do you know my neighborhood?"
